Job summary

CARSOME Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to ensure each car complies with industry regulations. You will report to the Retail Manager at the Retail Centre and perform daily vehicle examinations and deliver excellent customer service.

Your day-to-day includes assessing vehicle condition, noting any damage, and documenting comprehensive reports. You will take digital photos, move vehicles as directed, and use software to submit reports, with follow-up communication to customers.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in vehicle inspection or related field.
• Prefer Junior Executives in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
• Proficiency with basic computer/app software for reports.

Responsibilities

• Examine interiors, exteriors, odometer, trunk, and engine compartment.
• Note damages and repairs to frame, paint, or components.
• Document overall vehicle condition with reports.
• Take and upload digital photos during inspections.
• Locate, start and move vehicles as directed.
• Submit condition reports using computer/application software.
• Provide prompt, courteous service and follow up with customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

You will be responsible for ensuring a car or other motor vehicle meets all industry regulations. You will be reporting to Retail Manager based in the Retail Centre, where you will be expected to perform daily tasks of vehicle examinations and customer service.

Your Day-to-Day

Conduct assessment of vehicle condition (interior, exterior, odometer reading, trunk area, engine compartment).

Note damage, or repair to frame, paint, engine, AC/heater operation, radio, navigation system, tires, etc.

Provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition; providing reports based on findings.

Take and upload digital photos during the inspection process.

Required to locate, start and move vehicles as directed.

Utilize computer/app software to submit condition reports.

Provide prompt and courteous service.

Follow-up with customers after car inspection.

Other duties as assigned.

Your Know How

Candidates must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Others), Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.

At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
