In our Restructuring Practice, Bridge advises clients that are underperforming, under financial stress or experiencing financial distress. We work with the management in areas such as operational restructuring, strategic cash generation, turnaround, financial restructuring and cash management. We help lenders, creditors and other stakeholders assess their options for repayment, refinancing and recovery from underperforming businesses. We undertake formal appointments as Interim Liquidators, Liquidators, Receivers and Managers, Judicial Managers and Nominee in Corporate Voluntary Arrangement.
We are looking for Consultants (graduates and experienced) who are keen to join our Insolvency Department which is part of our Restructuring Practice. In the Insolvency Department, you will learn and pick up an array of competencies in company management, accounting & finance management, statutory management, project management and understanding of legal cases. Qualification
Education : A degree in Accounting , Finance, Business Administration or a similar field
Professional Qualification : Partly or fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, CPA, or MICPA is highly prefered
Experience : 1-2 years of experience in insolvency, business restructuring, or corporate audit
Fresh graduates with strong academic results are welcome to apply
Job Descriptions:
A. Case Administration & Execution
Take control of insolvent or closing companies by securing records and bank accounts, their physical assets and implement disposal strategy.
Prepare and process initial drafts of statutory documents, including the Statement of Affairs, Proof of debts, and preliminary liquidation reports.
Review company ledgers, trace funds, and assess claims to ensure maximum recovery for creditors.
B. Stakeholder Communication
Act as the primary point of contact for directors, shareholders, employees and creditors.
Liaise with external legal teams, autioneers and regulatory bodies (e.g the Malaysian Department of Insolvency or Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia)
C. Team Support & Compliance
Maintain accurate case management files for final review by the licensed Insolvency Practitioner or Manager.
Skills Requirement
Financial Analysis : Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to spot irregularities or discrepancies.
Organization : Able to assist a diversified portfolio of cases simultaneously
Negotiation : Capable to deal with distressed or contentious situations with creditors
Legal & Statutory Knowledge : Familiar with the local corporate recovery frameworks, such as the Companies Act 2016.
Ethics : Self-motivated to work independently and also as part of a team
Language : Must be proficient in oral and written English.
Transport : Possession of a car as some travelling is required
