Job summary

Singtel seeks a Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer in Malaysia to lead automation-first initiatives across enterprise infrastructure. You will implement Ansible-based provisioning, build scalable workflows, and manage RBAC and credentials within the Ansible Automation Platform.

You will automate Day-2 operations, develop reusable playbooks, and partner with Cloud and Security teams to ensure availability, security, and regulatory compliance across environments in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience with at least 5 years in automation.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Linux administration.
• Proven experience with Ansible Automation Platform including workflows, RBAC and credential management.
• Hands-on experience with VM provisioning, automation and system hardening.
• Experience in automating Day-2 operations (patching, monitoring, remediation).
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Scripting in Python, Shell or PowerShell.
• Good understanding of networking, security and system administration.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible across Linux and Windows environments.
• Design and manage automation workflows, job templates, and RBAC within Ansible Automation Platform.
• Automate Day-2 operations including patching, configuration drift remediation, monitoring, backup, and incident response.
• Develop reusable automation playbooks, modules, and CI/CD pipelines for consistent infrastructure deployment.
• Implement self-healing and auto-remediation mechanisms to improve system reliability.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across automated infrastructure processes.
• Maintain version-controlled infrastructure code repositories and enforce best practices.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards through policy-driven automation.
• Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Operations teams to align automation initiatives with business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new automation tools and methodologies.

Skills for Success:
