Job summary

NJT SOLUTIONS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking a maintenance technician to diagnose and repair production machinery and related utilities. The role involves routine checks, troubleshooting abnormalities, minor maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance across the plant.

You will also supervise external vendors, prepare detailed trouble reports, manage spare parts inventory, and support continuous improvement initiatives in the production area.

Qualifications

• Able to perform early diagnosis for major abnormalities to determine root cause.
• Capable of immediately informing supervisor on unsolved issues or abnormalities occurring at the factory.
• Able to inspect and supervise work done by external vendors on machineries and utilities.
• Capable of completing Approved Job Requests from other departments.
• Able to prepare detailed trouble reports for issues occurring in the factory, especially in production machineries.
• Capable of maintaining, recording and organizing inventory of electrical and mechanical spare parts and ensuring all parts are sufficient.
• Responsible for taking care of repair tools and equipment provided by the company.
• Able to clean up the workplace and ensure the workspace is safe and tidy.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks on machineries and control systems based on periodic schedule provided, and record and report any abnormalities
• Identify, troubleshoot and solve abnormalities occurring at production machineries
• Carry out minor maintenance work at factory utilities including Compressor Room, Cooling Tower, Voltage Room, Generator Room and Pump Room
• Survey building and machineries to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, and prevent hazardous or dangerous situations
• Self-plan repairs for minor abnormalities not related to machine downtime
• Apply suitable preventive measures to extend the life of equipment and machineries
• Assist and support supervisor for unscheduled tasks or jobs requiring immediate action
• Perform recondition and overhauls for certain equipment and machine parts
• Participate in upgrading and installation of new machineries and new parts in the production area
• Maintain and repair building facilities including electrical outlet sockets, piping, machine and office lighting, welding and carpentry work
