Job summary

ResMed Inc in Johor Bahru, Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Engineering Manager to lead manufacturing optimization, boost productivity, capacity, and labour efficiency, and guide a high-performing team to remove bottlenecks.

You will partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering to improve layouts, material flow, and analytics, while driving Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Industry 4.0 initiatives that reshape how the plant operates and supports expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated capability in labour planning, workforce optimisation, time and motion studies, capacity planning, and line balancing.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and cost reduction methodologies.
• Capability in factory layout and material flow optimisation.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Minitab, and ERP systems.
• Leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead industrial engineering activities across labour planning, time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Identify and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks to improve productivity, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Optimise workforce planning, factory layouts, and material flow.
• Develop manufacturing KPIs, dashboards, and performance analytics to support informed decision-making.
• Support factory expansion and capacity planning activities.
• Contribute to automation, digitalisation, and Industry 4.0 initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Lead, develop, and enable a high-performing Industrial Engineering team.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to deliver business objectives.
