Job summary

Smithsgroup2 in Malaysia is seeking motivated Engineering Interns to join its Operations team. The Industrial Engineering Intern will support Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Production, or Operations Excellence with time studies, data collection, and productivity analysis during a 6 month or longer internship.

This paid internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing and operational environments while applying engineering principles to improve efficiency and business

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and observational skills.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing/operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and work measurements on production and support processes.
• Observe, document, and map process flows and standard work methods.
• Collect and analyze operational and productivity data.
• Support engineers and operations teams in identifying improvement opportunities.
• Assist in evaluating cycle time, labor utilization, and resource efficiency.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings.
