Job summary

Jebsen & Jessen Packaging Sdn Bhd is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing engineer to conduct time studies, balance lines, and drive continuous improvement across production lines. You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain to boost productivity and reduce waste.

The role focuses on standardizing work, improving manpower allocation, and delivering cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high quality across bottles, jars and closures manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or 1–3 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, work study, line balancing, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of ERP/SAP is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct time studies and establish standard cycle times.
• Monitor and improve production productivity, labor efficiency, and machine utilization.
• Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve output and reduce waste.
• Balance production lines and optimize manpower allocation.
• Develop and maintain production standards and work instructions.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor and report production KPIs, including productivity, efficiency, OEE, and downtime.
• Support new production line setup, process changes, and capacity planning.
• Work with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and improve operational performance.
• Identify and implement cost-saving and productivity improvement initiatives.
