Job summary

TF-AMD Penang seeks a capable Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to optimise manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and plan capacity for existing and new customers. You will address space and equipment utilisation and coordinate CAPEX from planning through delivery status.

Requirements include a Bachelors/Masters in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, strong English, and hands-on knowledge of plant layout, ergonomics, operations research, and time studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Engineering.
• Good English – oral and written.
• Strong knowledge in plant layout, ergonomics, capacity planning and methods engineering.
• Independent, resourceful with initiative.
• Ability to work with a team and manage time studies.

Responsibilities

• Improve manufacturing processes to optimise efficiency, output, and space usage.
• Manage capacity planning for existing and new customers.
• Provide site solutions for space utilisation and equipment usage.
• Coordinate Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) planning and approvals.
• Support NPI resources and capacity planning.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Improve manufacturing processes to optimise efficiency, output, manning ratio, space, and equipment usage. Manage tactical & strategic capacity planning supporting existing & new customers. Provide solutions for the site and supporting groups regarding space requirements, utilisation, and space arrangements to meet increasing demand and constantly changing business activities. Coordinate Capital request, approval process & track delivery status.

Requirements

-Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial/Manufacturing/Engineering).

-Language: Good oral and written skills in English

-Experience:

• Good Industrial engineering knowledge, including Plant layout/Ergonomics/Operations research/Capacity planning/Methods engineering/Work measurement and techniques/ Simulation /Operational modelling/ Facilities operations


• Independent, resourceful, and takes initiative.

-Functional Competency:

• Able to work independently with a functional team


• Capacity, Manpower & Layout planning knowledge


• Time Study knowledge


• Office (PPT, Excel, etc.), AutoCAD, and Analytical Reporting Skill
