Job summary

MANULI RYCO HYDRAULICS SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to oversee processes and drive improvements across manufacturing workflows in Malaysia. You will design, implement, and test new procedures to boost productivity, document status, and recommend changes to management.

The role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, knowledge of hydraulic systems, and experience in rubber hose or related industrial products. Mandarin is a plus for China liaison.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing process or any engineering field.
• 8+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mandarin speaking will be advantageous to liaison with China stakeholders.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and product application.
• Experience in rubber hose, automotive, industrial products, or process manufacturing preferred.
• Good mechanical engineering knowledge.

Job description

Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.

Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.

Assembles reports to document process status and changes.

Tracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades.

Communicates findings and proposals to upper management.

Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes.

Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.

QMS requirement compliance.

Conduct time studies, motion studies, and work measurement analysis.

Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and implement improvement plans.

Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Improve manufacturing flow, material handling, and workstation ergonomics.

Support new product industrialization activities.

Establish production routings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams during product transfer and ramp-up.

Support machinery installation, relocation, and capacity expansion projects.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality management systems.

Participate in risk assessments and process FMEA activities.

Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience in rubber hose, automotive, industrial products, or process manufacturing industries is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing process or any engineering related field

A minimum of 8 years engineering experience ideally within a manufacturing environment

Mandarin speaking will be advantage to liaison with China stakeholder.
