Job summary

Cosmx Technology Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kedah is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to analyze workforce utilization, facility layout and production data to drive efficient use of workers and equipment. You will lead Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives, develop cost analysis and production planning systems, and collaborate with management to implement plans.

Relocation to our new manufacturing plant at Karangan, Kedah is expected in Q4 2025; Mandarin, English and Malay

Qualifications

• Possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5-8 years working experience in Industrial Engineering role is required.
• Preferable experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership skills in implementing productivity changes.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with Cause & Effect Diagram, 5 Why and Pareto Principle.
• Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout and operational data to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.
• Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
• Develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration and job evaluation.
• Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis. Design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Leads and supports initiatives to increase output, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas such as LEAN, Automation and/or 6 Sigma projects.
• Conduct capacity planning and analysis to determine ideal resource allocation, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining optimal efficiency levels.

Job description

Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation work stations and equipment and purchase of equipment.

Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.

Develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration and job evaluation.

Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis. Design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.

Leads and supports initiatives to increase output, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas such as LEAN, Automation and/or 6 Sigma projects.
