Job summary

Konecranes is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate and execute crane and hoist installation and service projects. You will manage schedules, budgets, and resources, and coordinate with suppliers, contractors and internal teams to deliver on time and within contract terms.

The role requires strong technical and project management skills, attention to safety and ISO/EHS standards, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in project engineering or related field; internships welcome.
• CIDB or OGSP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute crane and hoist installation and service projects from initiation to completion.
• Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and budgets, ensuring adherence to contract terms.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to secure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Provide technical support in crane and hoist installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and EHS policies.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during project execution.
• Attend site meetings and reviews of drawings and specs to ensure feasibility.
• Conduct site visits, risk assessments, and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Provide professional guidance and technical recommendations to optimize customer lifting solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Support development of standardized procedures and best practices within the Project Engineering team.
• Inform sales and business controller to trigger relevant billing according to contract stages.
• Assist DOSH submissions with design approval and load test documentation.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager.
