Job summary

Konecranes is seeking an engineering design support specialist to create and modify crane and lifting equipment designs while ensuring compliance with global and regional requirements. You will collaborate with regional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to deliver safe and cost-effective solutions.

The role involves providing technical support to sales and project teams, preparing documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within a leading material handling group.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred.
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create and modify crane and lifting equipment designs using CAD software, 3D tools, complying with global and regional requirements.
• Technical Support: Provide engineering support to regional sales, service, and project teams, resolving technical challenges during planning, installation, fabrication and operation.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality requirements and Konecranes practices.
• Collaboration: Work with global/regional engineering teams, manufacturing, project teams and suppliers for safe, manufacturable and cost-effective designs.
• Documentation: Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports with accurate documentation for internal and customer use.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify design improvements and efficiency enhancements, contributing to innovation.
• Project Support: Assist in feasibility studies, quotations and project planning for regional projects.
• Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 standards
