Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to execute audit procedures, walkthroughs, and control testing across manufacturing operations. You will support external audits, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop comprehensive audit plans to ensure policy compliance and risk mitigation.

The role requires 2+ years in audit, familiarity with US GAAP, and professional certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of audit experience with a Big 4 firm or a public company.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and PCAOB requirements.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CIA are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit procedures, including walkthroughs, control testing, and substantive analytics.
• Support inventory activities and counts for external auditors under the Company Direct Assistance Program.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support compliance and internal audits.
• Develop and implement audit plans, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Document audit work, findings, and recommendations clearly and accurately.
• Identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
• Support special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.
