Job summary

Tencent, Interactive Entertainment Group (IEG), is seeking a data-leaning analyst to help develop and optimize security strategies for its international gaming business. The role favors fresh graduates or candidates with 1+ years in data analysis or data engineering, and a strong background in Python/SQL, statistics, and AI-enabled data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, IT or related field. Master’s preferred.
• Open to fresh graduates with strong analytical skills; 1+ years in data analysis/ data engineering is a plus.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools, programming languages (Python/SQL), and statistics is preferred.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to support data analysis and code development (AI Agents/LLMs is a plus).

Responsible for the R&D, operation, and development of the company's interactive entertainment business including games and eSports. Through online gaming, live broadcasts, and offline eSports, IEG assists the company in leading the global interactive entertainment market to create better interactive entertainment content experiences for users.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of security strategies for the client's international gaming business.
• Conduct data analysis, statistical analysis, and in-game video analysis to identify potential security risks, abnormal gaming behaviors, and emerging trends.
• Analyze data patterns and provide data-driven insights to support the evaluation and optimization of security strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate complex issues and translate analytical findings into actionable solutions.
• Explore and leverage AI tools and technologies to improve data analysis efficiency, automate workflows, and support analytical tasks.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field. Candidates with a Master's degree will be preferred.
• Open to fresh graduates with strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn. Candidates with 1+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, data engineering, or related fields will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools, programming languages (such as Python or SQL), and statistical analysis techniques is preferred.
• Proficient in leveraging AI tools to support data analysis and code development. Familiarity with AI Agents, LLM applications, or AI-powered automation is a strong advantage.
• Strong logical thinking, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with the ability to identify patterns and investigate complex issues.
• Responsible, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Passionate about gaming, with hands-on experience in FPS games such as Delta Force, Call of Duty, or PUBG Mobile. Familiarity with game mechanics, competitive gameplay, or high-ranked gaming experience will be an advantage.
