Job summary

KPJ Kluang Specialist Hospital is seeking a competent Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care within a hospital unit. The role includes direct supervision of the ward, nursing rounds with the team, and effective communication with doctors, patients, and families.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Nursing Board of Malaysia license, have at least 3 years of clinical experience, and hold BLS/ACLS/MTLS/PALS/NRP certifications. English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Registered with Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, MTLS, PALS and NRP are required.
• Proficient in writing and conversing in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and supervise unit/ward activities.
• Notify Unit Manager of incidents requiring nursing administration involvement.
• Handover patient progress and ensure doctor's orders are followed during shift changes.
• Conduct nursing rounds, support doctors and coordinate with the care team.
• Ensure accurate documentation, maintain patient records, and communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Participate in infection control, quality improvement and safety programs.
