Broadcom is seeking a senior IC Design Manager in Penang to lead a high-performing team responsible for Motion Control Sensor ASICs. You will oversee architecture, design, and full lifecycle execution in a fast-paced environment.

Required 15+ years in IC design with 5+ years in management, deep ASIC process flow knowledge, and experience with Cadence/Synopsys/Mentor. Foundry and wafer sort experience are a must.

Formación

• 15+ years relevant experience with at least 5 years in technical management.
• Deep expertise in ASIC process flow for Analog, Digital and Layout Design.
• Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor).
• Experience in foundry fabrication process and Electrical Wafer Sort.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a high-performing team of IC Design Engineers in end-to-end development of Motion Control Sensor ASICs.
• Oversee technical architecture, design development, people management, and full-lifecycle project execution.
• Manage ASIC deliverables in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment, including customer trials and field issues.
• Own tape-out and post tape-out activities, ensuring sustainability and reliability of the product.
• Collaborate with Optics, Magnetic, Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing teams across engineering departments.

Job Description

• Lead a high-performing team of IC Design Engineers in the end-to-end development of Motion Control Sensor ASICs.
• Oversee technical architecture, design development, people management, and full-lifecycle project execution.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment, responsible for all ASIC deliverables.
• Ownership extends beyond tape-out to include customer trials, field issues, and product sustainability.
• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of Optics, Magnetic, Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing engineers, requiring extensive interaction across engineering departments.

Requirements

• PhD / Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or in related field
• Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, with at least 5 years of technical management experience
• Deep expertise in the ASIC process flow for Analog, Digital and Layout Design.
• Experience in industry-standard EDA tools from vendors like Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor Graphics.
• Experience in foundry fabrication process
• Experience in Electrical Wafer Sort
• Independent with strong problem-solving abilities, project management expertise, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
