Job summary

IGB International School in Malaysia seeks a Student Success Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs within the IB framework. You will partner with classroom teachers, families, and specialists to design targeted interventions and monitor progress.

The role emphasizes inclusive practices, ILP development, and fostering a safe, engaging learning environment, with active involvement in enrichment activities and DEIJ initiatives at the school.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably in Special Education or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of post-qualified teaching experience, ideally with students requiring learning support.
• Strong knowledge of inclusive classroom practices.
• Cultural awareness and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Familiarity with IB programmes is an advantage.
• Willingness to work at Sierramas, Sungai Buloh.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted learning support to students with identified learning needs across various subjects.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement differentiated instruction and accommodations.
• Assist in the development of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and monitor student progress.
• Participate in student support meetings and contribute to the identification and assessment of student needs.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Offer students guidance in developing effective study skills, organisation, and self-management strategies.
• Support students' development of the IB Learner Profile attributes.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Participate in regular duties and contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and support provided.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the school’s inclusive practices and policies.
