Job summary

ONNEC Group seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead on large-scale hyperscale data centre projects in Johor. The role is fully site-based, coordinating site activities, contractors, and project execution to meet safety, time, and quality targets.

The Site Manager will oversee supervisors and engineers, ensure HSE compliance, manage stock, and produce progress reports for the Project Manager. Strong communication and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate site-based engineering teams.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal.
• Confident in client-facing interactions and managing client requirements.
• Experience in IT industry, specifically data centre installations.
• Knowledge of structured cabling installation practices and standards.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of supervisors and engineers to ensure installations meet specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met with risk assessments and method statements.
• Manage stock to ensure materials are available for efficient installation.
• Order materials as required.
• Produce progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Carry out quality checks on cabling works.
• Read site drawings and update as work completes.
• Attend client meetings and document actions.
• Prepare documentation to meet company and client standards.
• Draw up patching schedules and implement patching requirements.
• Ensure installations are documented and maintain O&M manuals.
• Assist with urgent installation works.
• Maximise project profitability.
