Job summary

Mission Foods Malaysia is seeking an Environmental Officer to lead hygiene and environmental activities across the plant, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective pest control. You will oversee WWTP operations, implement corrective actions, and prepare SOPs and training.

The role includes supervising cleaners, calibrating equipment, monitoring waste and garment appearance, and coordinating contractor services to maintain site standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor WWTP plant operations.
• Create and distribute work schedules for direct reports.
• Perform daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and report irregularities.
• Implement corrective actions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare SOP documents and cleaning checklists for Hygiene and Environmental tasks.
• Conduct Food Safety Training such as GMP, HACCP and Food Safety awareness.
• Supervise Hygiene and Environmental crew/contract cleaners daily.
• Responsible for pest control program and liaise with pest service providers.
• Calibrate measurement equipment in IETS plant.
• Monitor plant waste management program and report results.
• Monitor employee garments appearance and report issues to HOD.
• Issue DCRN upon any document changes.

Job description

Operation Of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (Physical Chemical Processes) (CePIETSO-PCP)

Operation Of Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (Biological Processes) (CePIETSO-BP)

Ensure all legal compliance related to environmental.

Designing and implementing Hygiene and Environmental policy and protocols.

Coordinating and monitoring WWTP Plant Operations.

Creating and distributing work schedules direct reports.

Performing daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and reporting any irregularities.

Implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.

Providing feedback to company managers and advising on manufacturing changes.

Coordinating the services of contractors and external crews.

Responsible to prepare SOP documents and cleaning checklist for the Hygiene and Environmental tasks.

Conduct Food Safety Training such as GMP, HACCP and Food Safety awareness.

Responsible to monitor the Hygiene and Environmental activity across the plant.

Supervise Hygiene and Environmental crew/contract cleaner on their day to day jobs.

Responsible for the pest control program in the plant.

Responsible to report to pest service provider if any live pest found internally or externally and able to verify the situation by eliminating the potential source of the pest.

Responsible for calibration of measurement equipment in IETS plant.

Responsible for plant waste management program and reporting.

Responsible to monitor the appearance of the employee garments and report to HOD on the situation. To follow up to ensure no issue related to employee garments.

Responsible to issue DCRN upon any document’s changes.

Prepare an accurate report and submit timely.

Ability to apply laws, rules and regulations to the work.

Maintain Inventories of tools, equipment and material related to your area of responsibility.

Other duties as assigned.
