Job summary

OMS Group seeks a Senior / Lead Geophysical Data Processor (CAD) to lead data processing and drafting for offshore, land, and hydrographic surveys. You’ll own data quality, CAD standards, and project deliverables while mentoring junior processors and driving workflow improvements.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in hydrographic/geophysical survey data processing and strong AutoCAD, AutoCHART, and Global Mapper skills, with offshore availability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, CAD Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years of charting, drafting or data processing experience in hydrographic/geophysical survey or related marine/offshore industries.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCHART, and Global Mapper, with demonstrated experience in manual chart drafting.
• Experience with Terramodel software is an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and quality control.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Able to perform offshore assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate geophysical CAD processing for land, hydrographic and offshore geophysical survey projects, ensuring deliverables meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Process land, hydrographic and offshore geophysical survey data using AutoCAD, AutoCHART, and Global Mapper to produce charts, plans, profiles, and technical drawings.
• Produce and update hydrographic charts using AutoCHART and perform manual chart drafting where required.
• Use Global Mapper for spatial data integration, format conversion, gridding, and map/chart production.
• Prepare and maintain technical drawings in AutoCAD, including route charts, bathymetric charts, cross-sections, and alignment sheets.
• Perform advanced data checks, validation, and troubleshooting to resolve data-related issues during processing.
• Organize, maintain, and archive survey data, CAD files, and processing records in line with document control procedures.
• Mentor and review the work of junior CAD processors, and conduct QA/peer reviews of deliverables before client submission.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processing workflows, CAD standards, templates, and quality procedures.
• Assist with project planning, tender support, and administrative requirements.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior / Lead Geophysical Data Processor to lead data processing and drafting functions across our offshore and hydrographic survey projects. In this role, you will take ownership of survey data quality, technical drawing standards, and project deliverables, while mentoring junior processors and driving continuous improvement in our data processing workflows.
