Job summary

Talent is seeking a Mobile App Developer to join a major digital program focused on improving performance and delivering a consistent user experience across native iOS and Android platforms.

You will design, develop and maintain native apps and supporting services, collaborate with analysts, project managers, testers and other developers, and contribute to scalable, reliable mobile solutions with modern development practices.

Qualifications

• Strong native iOS and Android development experience using Swift and Kotlin.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android SDKs and frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services such as Firebase and AWS.
• Strong experience integrating JSON/RESTful APIs with back-end services.
• Experience writing unit tests and UI tests.
• End-to-end experience administering, deploying and releasing applications through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise design patterns, modular application architecture, accessibility and maintainable code.
• Experience with modern development practices including Git, pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies and app release management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop native iOS and Android applications using Swift and Kotlin.
• Develop and maintain integrations with back-end services and APIs.
• Provide technical solutions to complex challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to reusable code, components and libraries for future development.
• Translate user stories and business requirements into technical requirements and detailed effort estimates.
• Optimise mobile applications for performance, scalability, security and usability.
• Collaborate with the wider team to continuously improve application functionality and user experience.
• Maintain high standards of code quality and development practices, including code reviews, pull requests and branching strategies.
• Support application automation, deployment and release management.
• Manage and support releases through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Stay across emerging mobile technologies and contribute to continuous improvement across development practices and processes.
