Job summary

Carrier is seeking an experienced Head of Department to lead a large HVAC modernization team in Malaysia. You will oversee 10–15 professionals, manage installations, and deliver retrofit solutions to contractors and building owners while ensuring timely reporting and revenue forecasting.

Leadership and strong project delivery are essential, with a focus on collaboration with senior management to align operations with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
• Solid HVAC technical background and retrofitting knowledge.
• University degree or advanced degree with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple projects including installation of new equipment in new construction.
• Lead upgrades or replacement of obsolete equipment for existing accounts.
• Provide retrofitting and modernization solutions to contractors and building owners.
• Prepare accurate monthly project financial and status reports forecasting revenue.
• Interface with complex customers to build strong relationships.
• Ensure accurate revenue and manpower forecast data for leadership.
• Review bids and provide input in bid preparation and operational reviews.
• Head of department overseeing 10–15 team members.

Role Responsibilities:

This position manages a large team of both experienced professionals and team leaders in New Equipment Modernization. Develops and implements short to mid-term site‑specific safety strategy. Presents critical information to senior management. This role is the subject matter expert in installing/building systems.

Oversee more than one projects such as: the Installation of new equipment in new construction projects, upgrades or replacement of obsolete equipment for existing accounts, delivery of upgrades to existing customer-owned equipment

Provides retrofitting and modernization solution to contractors and building owners

Prepares accurate and timely project financial and status reports, which accurately forecast project revenue and are reconciled and updated monthly.

Interfaces with complex customers to create and build strong customer centric business relationships.

Ensures accurate revenue and manpower forecast data is provided to the Leadership Team.

Reviews bids and estimates for accuracy and provides input in bid preparation and operational review meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.

Process solid HVAC technical background and knowledge in retrofitting

University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience

OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
