Job summary

EPG Modular Data Center in Malaysia seeks a Project Manager / Deputy Project Manager to lead Southeast Asia projects from bid support through commissioning. You will manage design, procurement, construction, and handover, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.

The role requires a bachelor degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, at least five years in data center MEP project management, strong vendor coordination, and English fluency; overseas project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of project management in data center MEP projects.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and liaise with clients.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Southeast Asia projects end-to-end from bid support to handover.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and profitability targets are met.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC and authorities to maintain smooth operations.
• Lead performance reviews and develop project team members.
• Conduct regular project reviews and document lessons learned.

Role Description

• Manage end-to-end Southeast Asia projects, including bid support, detailed design, procurement initiation (equipment, materials & construction subcontractors), construction execution, cost control, EHS management, schedule control, document & quality management, installation, commissioning, testing, client handover & acceptance, and project compliance management.
• Ensure delivery of project safety, quality, timeline and profit targets.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, PMC and government authorities to maintain smooth project operations.
• Build, develop and conduct performance appraisal for project team members.
• Lead regular project reviews and summarize lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in data center MEP projects; familiar with core systems including diesel generators, UPS, chillers, etc.
• Strong technical comprehension, vendor coordination and on-site problem-solving capabilities.
• Ethnic Chinese; fluent English; overseas project experience is preferred.
