Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment Sr. Coordinator to assist with developing procedures and guidance within the HSE program.

This role sits within the Environment Health and Safety function focused on safeguarding employees and surrounding communities. The candidate will contribute to monitoring high-risk performance, implementing strategic solutions, and maintaining permits and records to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of job-related experience.
• Understanding of work routines and standards in a range of processes, procedures, and systems.
• Intermediate problem-solving skills with ability to select solutions without supervision.
• Ability to explain detailed information clearly within the team.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with a robust inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for monitoring high-risk injury, illness, and incident-related performance.
• Assist with development and implementation of strategic solutions to improve performance results.
• File and maintain permits, licenses, applications, and records to ensure compliance.
• Review inspection records and investigate escalated complaints and suspected violations.
• Inform the management team, clients, and employees of complex control regulations and inspection findings and make recommendations for corrections.
• Support implementation of cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
• Recognize and solve typical and atypical problems in own work area without supervisory approval.
• Evaluate and select solutions from established options.
• Impact the team through the quality of services or information provided.
• Follow standardized procedures with regular but moderate supervision and guidance.
