Job summary

IntelliPro in Malaysia seeks an HSE Director to lead the local campus, shaping strategy and governance for health, safety and environmental performance across data centres, construction projects, and offices.

You will advise the Malaysia General Manager and Country Leadership Team, drive compliance with regulatory requirements and group HSE standards, and foster continuous improvement through audits, incidents investigations and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Science or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of progressive HSE experience within high-risk industries.
• Minimum 10 years in HSE management roles with responsibility for governance, compliance, auditing, risk management and organisational performance.
• Minimum 5 years in senior HSE leadership roles leading teams of HSE Managers, HSE professionals and site-based HSE resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic direction and governance of HSE across data centres, construction projects, office facilities and future expansion activities.
• Serve as principal HSE advisor to the Malaysia General Manager and Country Leadership Team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and group HSE standards.
• Ensure HSE risks and opportunities are considered in key business decisions.
• Establish a unified Malaysia HSE operating model with consistent governance, standards, reporting, auditing and assurance processes.
• Harmonise HSE procedures, systems, tools, KPIs and customer requirements across sites and units.
• Lead investigations into significant incidents, high-potential events and regulatory matters.
• Support certification programmes, industry awards and external benchmarking initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with customers, contractors, consultants and industry stakeholders.

We have recently partnered with a MNC company who is a leading developer and operator of AI and cloud hyperscale data centers in Asia. The company expanding their footprint in Malaysia and looking for HSE Director to lead the local campus.

Responsibility:

• The HSE Director is the senior Health, Safety and Environment leader for the local entit, responsible for the strategic direction, governance, integration, performance and continuous improvement of HSE across all operational data centres, construction projects, office facilities and future expansion activities.
• The role serves as the principal HSE advisor to the Malaysia General Manager and Country Leadership Team and has overall accountability for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, Group HSE standards and industry best practices.
