Job summary

Accenture in Malaysia is seeking an experienced payroll specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries within a client-facing BPO environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance across SEA and ANZ markets.

The role requires strong Mandarin/English skills, expertise in payroll systems, and a track record of driving process improvements in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in both Mandarin and English due to supporting markets including China
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and statutory reporting requirements
• Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP); hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP, ADP, Oracle, or similar
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment
• Demonstrated agility in managing shifting priorities, service volumes, and country‑specific compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly payroll cycles with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Reconcile payroll data across finance and HR systems to ensure consistency and audit readiness
• Handle complex payroll queries and elevate issues appropriately to internal or client stakeholders
• Prepare statutory filings and support internal/external audits and compliance reviews
• Collaborate with country HR teams and third‑party vendors to ensure alignment on payroll inputs and timelines
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery
• Maintain documentation and controls in accordance with client policies and regional regulations

Job Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in both Mandarin and English languages due to supporting markets including China.
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, and statutory reporting requirements
• Proficient in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP); hands‑on experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP, ADP, Oracle, or similar.
