A leading hospitality company is seeking a candidate to manage industrial relations, ensuring compliance with the Employment Act and fostering good relationships with the union. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or relevant field, strong leadership and negotiation skills, and excellent communication abilities in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities

• Formulate and review industrial relations policies.
• Manage grievances and disputes for amicable resolution.
• Ensure compliance with the Employment Act 1955.
• Advise line managers on disciplinary actions.
• Promote good faith in relationships with unions.
• Represent in conciliation meetings.
• Assist in revision of Collective Agreement.

• Formulate and review IR policies and guidelines to promote industrial harmony.
• Manage any grievances, disputes and disciplinary cases towards a prompt and amicable resolution.
• Ensure disciplinary actions taken are in compliance with Employment Act 1955.
• Advise and direct line managers accordingly on the appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with the Company’s policy and procedures.
• Initiate effort that promotes good faith and mutual respect in terms of relationship with the Union.
• Company’s representative in conciliation meetings and Industrial/Labour Court.
• Assist in revision of Collective Agreement.

Job requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Law, Human Resources Management, Business Studies or related discipline.
• Strong leadership qualities, negotiation and effective interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
