Job summary

Fairfield by Marriott Kota Kinabalu is seeking a Non-Management Housekeeping & Laundry professional to inspect rooms and public areas after cleaning, ensuring adherence to quality standards. You will coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry to optimize room status and communicate any discrepancies.

The role includes assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching, while upholding safety and professional appearance standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
• Assist housekeeping management in managing daily activities and coordinating with other departments.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Complete required paperwork and communicate changes in room assignments to the team.
