Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Housekeeping Coordinator to act as the central communication hub for the housekeeping department. You will coordinate daily operations, manage room assignments, handle guest requests, and maintain records to support supervisors and attendants in delivering efficient service.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality industry.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and departments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily housekeeping activities and assign tasks to room attendants, public area attendants, laundry and supervisors.
• Prepare and update room assignment sheets ensuring coverage for all areas.
• Monitor room status throughout the day (vacant, occupied, stay-over, out-of-order).
• Maintain smooth communication between Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering and other departments.
• Record daily occupancy and housekeeping progress; update PMS in real time.
• Manage guest requests (extra linens, amenities, special cleaning) and escalate urgent needs.
