Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Desaru Coast is seeking a Chargeman to lead the safe operation, maintenance and repair of the hotel’s electrical systems. You will ensure regulatory compliance and support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime while keeping guests comfortable.

The ideal candidate has a certificate or diploma in electrical engineering, 3–5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance, and a valid Chargeman certificate.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid Chargeman Certificate (AO, A1, A4, BO, or B4) issued by the Energy Commission of Malaysia.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain electrical installations and distribution systems.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysia's electricity regulations and standards.
• Maintain electrical logbooks and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with departments for scheduled maintenance activities.
• Supervise contractors and verify work quality.
