Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Desaru Coast is seeking a Chargeman to maintain hotel electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance.

You will lead preventive maintenance, monitor HV/LV installations, and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime. A valid Chargeman certificate and 3–5 years' experience in hospitality electrical maintenance are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid Chargeman Certificate (AO, A1, A4, BO, or B4) issued by Energy Commission of Malaysia.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, generators, transformers, HVAC controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical installations and distribution systems.
• Ensure HV/LV systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot faults and minimize downtime; respond to emergencies.
