Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to plan and oversee daily meal service for patients, staff and visitors. You will coordinate with dietitians to meet nutritional and medical needs and supervise catering staff to maintain service standards.

You will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, handle budgets, and generate monthly reports on food usage, costs and performance. Involvement in quality accreditations and adherence to KPJ standards is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Food and Beverage Management or related field.
• At least 1 year of working experience in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily meal service operations for patients, staff and visitors.
• Coordinate with dietitians to align menus with nutritional and medical needs.
• Supervise and schedule catering staff including cooks, servers and support personnel.
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with food suppliers.
• Handle budget planning and cost control for catering services.
• Generate monthly cost spend and sales reports and address food-related issues.
• Create reports on food usage, waste, costs and service performance; monitor quality improvements.
• Monitor all equipment in food service and ensure timely PPM and calibration updates.
• Participate in quality accreditation activities (JCI, MSQH, IMS, MSOSH, 5S) and follow SPP.
• Adhere to policies and maintain records; assist Head of Dietetic & Food Services or Hospital Management as needed.
