Job summary

MALAMIN SDN BHD is seeking a hands-on Heavy Equipment & Mining Welder to support mining production at Bukit Kachi. Weld, repair and reinforce heavy machinery, buckets and attachments while coordinating with mechanics and production teams.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of welding experience in mining or heavy industry, with ARC/SMAW expertise and the ability to work outdoors in demanding site conditions. Security checks are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of welding experience in heavy equipment.
• Experience in mining, quarry, heavy machinery, construction or heavy industry.
• Strong ARC/SMAW welding skills.
• Ability to weld thick steel plates and heavy structural components.
• Willingness to work outdoors in demanding site conditions.
• Must pass PDRM security checking.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and repair work on heavy mining machinery and equipment
• Repair and reinforce excavator buckets, shovel buckets, loader buckets and other attachments
• Carry out structural repairs on dump trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes and other heavy equipment
• Perform ARC/SMAW, MIG and/or FCAW welding
• Conduct cutting, grinding, gouging and metal preparation
• Fabricate and install wear plates, brackets, supports, frames and steel structures
• Repair cracks, damaged structures and worn components
• Perform on-site welding and emergency repair works when required
• Maintain welding equipment, tools and work areas
• Work closely with the Mechanic and Production teams to minimize equipment downtime

MALAMIN SDN BHD is looking for a hands-on Heavy Equipment & Mining Welder to join our mining production operation at Bukit Kachi. You will be working directly with heavy machinery and mining-site equipment, carrying out welding, fabrication, repair and reinforcement work to keep our production operation running.

Key responsibilities

Perform welding and repair work on heavy mining machinery and equipment

Repair and reinforce excavator buckets, shovel buckets, loader buckets and other attachments

Carry out structural repairs on dump trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, backhoes and other heavy equipment

Perform ARC/SMAW, MIG and/or FCAW welding

Conduct cutting, grinding, gouging and metal preparation

Fabricate and install wear plates, brackets, supports, frames and steel structures

Repair cracks, damaged structures and worn components

Perform on-site welding and emergency repair works when required

Maintain welding equipment, tools and work areas

About you

Minimum 3 years of relevant welding experience

Experience in mining, quarry, heavy machinery, construction, fabrication or heavy industry

Strong practical experience with ARC/SMAW welding

Experience with MIG/FCAW is an advantage

Able to weld thick steel plates and heavy structural components

Experience repairing excavators, loaders, shovels, dump trucks or similar heavy machinery

Able to perform gas cutting, grinding and fabrication

Physically in excellent condition and able to work in a heavy industrial/mining environment

Able to work outdoors and under demanding site conditions

Must have no criminal record and be willing to undergo PDRM security checking
