Job summary

Malamin Sdn Bhd in Sintok, Kedah, is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for mining-site operations. You will operate excavators for excavation, earthmoving, and material handling while following site procedures and safety rules.

Requirements include 5+ years of excavator experience, a Malay-specified operator certificate, a valid driving licence where needed, and a clean record. Overtime, shift work, and weekend duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators, preferably in mining, quarry, construction, or earthworks.
• Valid Excavator Operator Certificate / Competency Certificate recognised in Malaysia.
• Valid driving licence where required for site or road-related duties.
• Must have a clean record with no serious criminal, traffic, or safety offences.
• Experience operating 20–30 tonne excavators or similar heavy machinery is an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic excavator maintenance and daily equipment inspection.
• Physically in excellent condition and able to work outdoors in a mining-site environment.
• Safety-conscious, disciplined, responsible, and reliable.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, public holidays, and shift work when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently according to site requirements and operating procedures.
• Carry out excavation, earthmoving, loading, stockpiling, levelling, and material handling activities.
• Operate the excavator within designated mining areas and follow instructions from the Site Supervisor.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and ensure the excavator is in safe operating condition before use.
• Check hydraulic systems, engine oil, coolant, tracks, bucket, lights, alarms, and other critical components.
• Report equipment defects, breakdowns, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain the excavator in a clean and proper operating condition.
• Follow all mining-site safety procedures, traffic rules, environmental requirements, and company regulations.
• Work closely with supervisors, mechanics, and other site personnel to ensure smooth mining operations.
• Perform other duties related to mining operations as assigned by Management.
