Job summary

Keen Point (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a skilled HV electrical technician/engineer to operate, maintain, and repair the factory's high-voltage power distribution system. You will install transformers, switchgear, and cables, perform regular inspections, and keep precise records.

You must comply with safety regulations, assist in preventive maintenance planning, and ensure uninterrupted power supply. Shift work and overtime may be required to support operations.

Qualifications

• HV electrical license or professional certification required.
• 3+ years in high-voltage installation, operation and maintenance.
• Experience in factory/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiar with 10kV+ equipment and safety procedures.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HV power distribution systems.
• Install, commission, and maintain transformers, switchgear, cables, and related equipment.
• Inspect equipment regularly and keep accurate O&M records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement protective measures.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance plans to improve efficiency.
• Ensure continuous power supply and respond to electrical failures or incidents.
• Perform other electrical tasks as assigned by management.

Job description

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the factory’s high-voltage power distribution system.

Handle installation, commissioning, and maintenance of transformers, high-voltage switchgear, cables, and related electrical equipment.

Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and maintain accurate operation and maintenance records.

Strictly comply with safety regulations and implement protective measures for electrical work.

Assist in developing and optimizing preventive maintenance plans to improve system efficiency.

Ensure uninterrupted power supply to support factory operations and respond to emergency power failures or electrical incidents.

Perform other electrical-related tasks assigned by the management.

Requirements

Possess a valid Malaysian high-voltage electrical license or professional certification.

Minimum 3 years of experience in high-voltage system installation, operation, and maintenance; factory/manufacturing background preferred.

Familiar with high-voltage electrical equipment (10kV and above) and safety procedures.

Clean safety record, physically fit, and able to work in an industrial environment.

Responsible, with strong troubleshooting and emergency response skills.

Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.
