Job summary

PRASARANA MALAYSIA BERHAD seeks a Safety Health Officer to enforce OHS practices across rail and bus operations. You will ensure regulatory compliance, perform risk assessments, and lead incident investigations to prevent incidents and protect staff and passengers.

You will also develop emergency plans, deliver safety training, monitor performance, and coordinate audits and contractor safety for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in safety health discipline.
• NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Additional training in fire safety, emergency response, HIRARC, permit-to-work and incident investigation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Ensure rail and bus operations comply with safety laws, standards and internal HSE policies.
• Conduct hazard identification, HIRARC, JSA and risk assessments.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations and documentation with root cause analysis.
• Assist in developing and testing emergency response plans for rail and bus ops.
• Deliver and coordinate HSE training for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Monitor HSE performance via inspections, audits and KPIs; report findings.
• Audit contractors and service providers for HSE compliance and site safety.
• Maintain accurate HSE records for regulatory review and permits.
• Recommend and implement continuous safety improvements across operations.
• Serve as secretary to Safety and Health Committee, coordinating agendas and minutes.
