Job summary

Medivest Sdn Bhd is seeking a Facility Manager to lead the FEMS team in a hospital setting in Kluang, Johor. You will oversee maintenance, safety, reliability of engineering systems and hospital assets while monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities include leading daily operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, HSIP implementation, asset management, and documentation accuracy across work orders and records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or a related engineering discipline.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in engineering maintenance or facilities management.
• Knowledge of asset management, statutory compliance, preventive maintenance and operational performance reporting.
• Familiarity with hospital support services, concession requirements and related performance measures is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the FEMS team to deliver effective daily operations, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Ensure engineering systems, utilities, medical support systems and hospital assets remain safe, reliable and operational.
• Monitor service performance against contractual requirements and key performance indicators.
• Identify and address issues that could lead to service deductions, penalties or critical events.
• Review operational data and reports, including maintenance records, work orders, asset information, quality assurance results and customer feedback.
• Prepare, review and implement the Hospital Specific Implementation Plan (HSIP) and support continuous improvement of FEMS operations.
• Ensure statutory inspections, licences, certifications and calibrations are completed and properly documented.
• Oversee asset management, asset verification and variation order submissions, ensuring records are accurate and complete.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of work orders, preventive maintenance records and other engineering documentation in the designated Data Verification Officer (DVO 2) capacity.
• Prepare operational performance reports, analyses and improvement proposals for management.

Job description

Requirements

At least five (5) years of relevant experience in engineering maintenance or facilities management. Hospital facilities experience is preferred.

Knowledge of asset management, statutory compliance, preventive maintenance and operational performance reporting.

Familiarity with hospital support services, concession requirements and related performance measures is an advantage.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication and report-writing skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is preferred.
