Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Sepang, Malaysia, seeks a seasoned Head of Aerospace to lead and shape our aerospace logistics strategy. You will drive air freight operations, coordinate across markets and senior stakeholders, and turn complex challenges into strategic improvements.

The role requires a strong track record in freight forwarding, aerospace sector leadership, and the ability to influence across organization levels in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics, Transportation, or Business Studies with minor in logistics and supply chain.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in freight forwarding, especially Air Freight.
• Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good problem-solving, coordination, and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience in business development is an added advantage.
• Location: Sepang, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic Aerospace Sector priorities across multiple workstreams, markets, customers, or programs with Global-aligned execution.
• Convert recurring customer, product, sector, or control tower issues into capability improvements, governance actions, and adoption plans.
• Coordinate with senior stakeholders to align product promise, customer experience, commercial priorities, operations, and digital enablement.
• Provide leadership visibility on performance trends, customer risks, capability gaps, and required interventions.
• Develop capability maturity by coaching managers, standardizing expectations, and reinforcing decision quality and escalation discipline.
• Protect the defined Aerospace Sectors scope: sector proposition, customer needs, market signals, and sector activation with Growth and Customer Operations.
• Use approved systems, dashboards, and source-of-truth reporting to support decisions and avoid local variants.
• Move from processing to coordination to orchestration by improving data quality, handoff clarity, and proactive risk visibility.

Are you a strategic logistics leader with a passion for the aerospace industry and a proven track record in air freight operations? We are seeking an experienced Head of Aerospace to lead and drive our aerospace logistics strategy, delivering best-in-class transportation solutions for one of the most demanding and dynamic sectors in global supply chains.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate strategic Aerospace Sector priorities across multiple workstreams, markets, customers, or programs and ensure consistent Global-aligned execution.;
• Convert recurring customer, product, sector, or control tower issues into capability improvements, governance actions, and adoption plans.;
• Coordinate across senior stakeholders to align product promise, customer experience, commercial priorities, operations reality, and digital enablement.;
• Provide leadership visibility on performance trends, customer risks, capability gaps, and required interventions.;
• Develop capability maturity by coaching managers, standardizing expectations, and reinforcing decision quality and escalation discipline.;
• Protect the defined Aerospace Sectors scope: sector proposition and vertical playbooks, sector customer needs and market signals, sector activation with Growth and Customer Operations, sector-specific product readiness, feedback loop from service performance to proposition refinement.;
• Use approved systems, dashboards, and source-of-truth reporting to support decisions and avoid local variants.;
• Contribute to the move from processing to coordination to orchestration by improving data quality, handoff clarity, and proactive risk visibility.

We are expecting the incumbent to meet these requirements

• Degree in Logistics, Transportation, and/or Business Studies with minor in logistics and supply chain
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in freight forwarding industry especially in Air Freight product
• Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good problem-solving, coordination and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience business development will be an added advantage.
• This position is located at Sepang, Selangor.
