Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Penang invites an engineering intern to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge measurement platforms and analog/mixed-signal hardware for test and measurement instruments. You'll assist across bench power supplies, digital multimeters, function generators, electronic loads, and data acquisition systems.

You will learn circuit simulation with HSpice, PSpice, LTSpice, Saber; support test automation; and collaborate with mechanical, software, and hardware

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• Basic understanding of the product development lifecycle and hardware/software integration.
• Familiar with digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design and troubleshooting.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of analog and mixed-signal hardware systems for measurement instruments.
• Learn and apply circuit simulation tools (e.g., HSpice, PSpice, LTSpice, Saber) for verification.
• Support the automation of tests to conduct measurements and validate product performance.
• Collaborate with engineers from mechanical, software, and other hardware teams to enhance and optimize system designs.
• Assist in documenting hardware designs and promoting best practices for scalable design processes.

As an intern in the R&D team, you will support the design and development of cutting-edge measurement platforms and analog/mixed-signal hardware for Keysight’s test and measurement instruments. Your work will involve assisting with the development of a wide range of products, including bench power supplies, digital multimeters, function generators, electronic loads, and data acquisition systems.

• Learn and apply circuit simulation tools (e.g., HSpice, PSpice, LTSpice, Saber) for design verification and testing.
• Support the automation of tests to conduct measurements and validate product performance.
• Collaborate with engineers from mechanical, software, and other hardware teams to enhance and optimize system designs.
• Assist in documenting hardware designs and promoting best practices for efficient and scalable design processes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• Basic understanding of the product development process and lifecycle. Some experience or interest in hardware and software system integration tasks.
• Familiarity with digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently, with a strong willingness to learn and improve design processes.
• Good organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• No specific work experience required, but any related project or coursework experience will be a plus.
