Qualifications

Responsibilities

As the expert digital hardware engineer within the product development team, you are responsible for designing and leading the development team in hardware (digital, analog, and mixed signal) design for Keysight test & measurement instruments. Design activities involve microprocessor and microcontroller base system design, industrial standard bus (PCI‑E, USB, LAN, etc.) and local bus (SPI, I2C, etc.) design. You are expected to have knowledge in using CPLD and FPGA design and involving in high‑speed digital logic design. In addition, power supplies and analog circuit design and troubleshooting knowledge are advantages for the job. You are required to work closely with mechanical, software (application and embedded) engineers within the development team to define and optimize the hardware system design to maximize performance and quality with minimum cost.

Typical activities required for this job are:

• Well‑versed in latest technology trends and development, involving in product platform roadmap and future design direction.
• Knowledge in understanding customer applications and providing optimum instrument hardware design.
• Good multi‑disciplines (HW, SW, FW) development knowledge and responsible for designing and leading the development team in developing the overall instrument system.
• Leading the design team in system hardware and software integration.
• Conducting investigation and feasibility study during the early stage of PLC.
• Developing and defining instrument system architecture according to product specifications and scopes.
• Conducting design verification, component selection/evaluation.
• Developing hardware design documents to promote consistent design practices and process.
• Promoting good design practice and optimizing reusable design blocks.Establishing, refining and improving hardware design process.
• Understanding software management system and practicing proper documentation revision control.

Qualifications

• PhD/Master/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering.
• Understanding and experience in whole product development cycle.
• Good experience in hardware and software system integration.
• Knowledge in embedded system design and operation.
• Experience in using FPGA design tools such as Modelsim, QuestaSim, Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus.
• Good organizational, planning and communication skills; and ability to work in a team.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Minimum 8 years of design experience.
