Job summary

Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Hardware Board Technology Project Manager to steer complex digitalization and transformation projects in a backend semiconductor environment. You will lead project execution from planning to delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams across locations, and ensuring on-time, on-budget outcomes that meet quality targets.

The role requires an engineering degree with 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, strong project management

• Engineering degree with at least 5 years in semiconductor manufacturing and final test.
• More than 5 years leading cross-functional projects with significant complexity.
• IPMA or PMA certification preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead digitalization and transformation projects in an international backend semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Drive project execution from planning to delivery, ensuring targets for timeline, quality, and cost are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders; manage risks and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Use Infineon project management tools to structure projects, track progress, and report.
• Act as the key communication interface, representing Back End to Infineon divisions.

Key responsibilities in your new role

In this role, you will lead digitalization and transformation projects in a global semiconductor manufacturing environment, driving project execution from planning to deliverywhileensuring targets for timeline, quality, cost, and budget are successfully achieved. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, manage risks and problem-solving activities, identify cost reduction opportunities, and deliver innovative solutionsthat support operational excellence and business objectives.

Lead digitalization and transformation projects in an international backend semiconductor manufacturing environment

Forms and leads the project teamand assigns responsibilitieswithin project and Project Members

Identify cost down opportunitiesanddrive cost down projects

Take responsibility for the successful achievement ofproject targets in terms of timeline, quality, cost, and budget throughout the entire project lifecycle

Uses Infineon project management toolsto structure projects, control progress, and for reporting and documentation

Drives problem-solving activities within the project using standard Infineon trouble-shooting methodologies, (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)

Work closely with cross-functional project teamsfrom various locations, to solve complex problems andidentify innovative solution

Actively manage the projectand pro-actively manage potential deviations to avert delays and additional cost

Manage the project risks and lead the team in problem-solving situations

Act as theKey communication interface(for project related matters), representing Back End to other Infineon Divisions (Business lines, Central Functions e.g. Finance, PTE, Procurement, Quality, etc.)

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

You strive to leverage your engineering and project management expertiseto lead complex cross-functional initiatives within semiconductor manufacturing, driving successful outcomes in quality, delivery, and operational performance. You applystrong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and collaborative problem-solving skillsto navigate challenges, influence diverse teams, and deliver impactful solutions in a global environment.

Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience in Semiconductor manufacturing, and final test process

In-depth knowledge in Project Management with more than 5 years’ experience leading cross-functional projectsof significant complexity, risk, reach, and impacts for part of the company

Preferably with professional IPMA or PMA certification

Ability tosolve complex problems via shapingopen mind-set and cooperation in heterogeneous teams; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

Strong interpersonal communicationand experience in stakeholder management within an international environment

Willingness to travelwill be an added advantage
