Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on Handyman / Property Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, painting, and general systems across homestay and other properties, ensuring guest comfort and safety.

You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot and repair issues, manage tools, and coordinate with the property management team to schedule repairs and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, electrical wiring, plumbing, air conditioning service, and painting.
• Certifications in electrical or air conditioning preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Flexible and responsive for urgent or off-hour calls.
• Own transport and basic set of tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Handyman/ Property Maintenance Technician

The Handyman / Property Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of issues across all properties. This includes electrical systems, plumbing, air conditioning, painting, and general repairs. The role requires prompt response to maintenance requests and proactive upkeep to minimize guest disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of homestay units.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and wiring issues.

Handle plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and repairing water fixtures.

Service, repair, and install air conditioning units. Aircon troubleshooting skill is preferred

Conduct painting and touch-up work to maintain aesthetic standards.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.

Coordinate with property management team for scheduling repairs and upgrades.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.

Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety regulations and local codes.

Requirements:

Proven experience in general maintenance, electrical wiring, plumbing, air conditioning service, and painting.

Relevant certifications in electrical or air conditioning (preferred).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Flexible and responsive, available for urgent or off-hour calls when needed.

Possess own transport and basic set of tools (preferred).

Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia or English.
