Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a mature, responsible Restaurant Manager / Outlet Manager to oversee daily operations at Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad and lead the team to ensure smooth and efficient service.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, English and Mandarin proficiency, and the ability to manage staff on a busy floor, coordinate with the kitchen, and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant restaurant / food & beverage management or supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Must be able to speak and understand Chinese/Mandarin.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Good understanding of restaurant operations and front-of-house service.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on restaurant environment.
• Willing to serve, clean and assist the floor team when required.
• Good communication and coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the restaurant's daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Lead, supervise and motivate restaurant staff to maintain good teamwork, discipline and service standards
• Be hands-on on the floor when required, including serving customers, clearing tables, cleaning and assisting the team during busy periods
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen team to ensure orders are communicated accurately and served to customers smoothly and on time
• Monitor the flow of orders and resolve operational issues quickly when they arise
• Prepare and arrange staff shift rosters according to business needs and manpower requirements
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, performance and work discipline
• Handle staff-related matters and provide guidance when necessary
• Maintain a positive working environment and promote strong teamwork among the restaurant and kitchen teams
• Handle customer feedback or operational complaints professionally
