Job summary

DeepBlue Aquaculture Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a proactive Production Supervisor to oversee frozen soft shell crab processing operations.

You will work on the processing floor, ensuring hygiene and food safety, training and managing operators, and maintaining inventory and cold store operations. Key tasks include participating in daily processing, enforcing SOPs, delivering hands-on training, and coordinating line schedules to meet daily production targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in seafood processing or perishable foods.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP standards, and cold chain inventory handling.
• Willing to work directly on the processing line in a wet/cold environment.
• Experience with inventory counts, record-keeping, and operator performance assessment.
• Diploma or SPM/STPM with relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly participate in daily seafood processing operations (cleaning, grading, freezing, packaging).
• Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards across the processing line.
• Deliver practical training to processing operators on procedures and safety.
• Supervise daily floor activities to ensure SOPs and safety protocols are followed.
• Identify bottlenecks and work with management to refine and update SOPs.
• Participate in candidate selection, interviewing, and onboarding of operators.
• Manage line allocations, shift scheduling, and team discipline to meet targets.
• Conduct regular stock takes of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Oversee FIFO, temperature monitoring, and organized cold room storage.
