Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hands-on PLC & Automation Engineer to join our team in developing and commissioning custom-built machinery. You will take part in the full project life cycle from programming to running the machine on site.

The role requires a diploma/degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering, knowledge of PLC programming and familiarity with major PLC brands; travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Familiar with PLC brands like Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Keyence, or Allen-Bradley is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in PLC programming and machine automation is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with strong PLC/automation knowledge are welcome to apply.
• Willing to travel for machine installation/commissioning when required.

Responsibilities

• PLC and HMI programming, modification and troubleshooting.
• Machine installation, testing, debugging and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot electrical, PLC, sensor, motor, pneumatic and control systems.
• Fine-tune machine programs and parameters for proper operation.
• Support machine installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Maintain PLC/HMI programs and technical documentation.
