Job summary

Defeem Malaysia is seeking a Certified Halal Executive to manage Halal certification matters, prepare documentation, and coordinate audits for FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI. The role ensures compliance with halal standards, food safety regulations, and quality systems across the QA/QC department.

You will lead internal and external audits, support submissions, maintain records, and drive continuous improvement while guiding production on quality control and hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree or higher in Food Technology, Food Science, Halal Industry, Biology, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years in Halal certification and QA/QC, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Certified Halal Executive with hands-on Halal submissions, documentation, and audit coordination.
• Knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI requirements and implementation.
• Familiar with Malaysian food safety regulations and Halal standards.
• Experience handling certification audits and regulatory inspections.
• Internal Auditor certification for FSSC 22000 or HACCP is an advantage.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Halal certification matters, including new applications, renewals, amendments, and correspondence with authorities.
• Prepare, maintain, and update Halal documentation and records to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate and participate in internal and external Halal audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities.
• Prepare documentation and coordinate internal and external audits for FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI.
• Assist in implementing, maintaining, and improving FSSC 22000, HACCP, and MESTI management systems.
• Oversee daily QA/QC operations to ensure product quality and food safety standards.
• Guide production on quality control issues to enhance product quality.
• Conduct internal quality and food safety training for employees.
• Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
