Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead company operations, drive growth, and collaborate with the Managing Director on strategic goals. The role requires overseeing profitability and coordinating department managers to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, 5+ years of management experience in manufacturing or engineering, and fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese for stakeholder liaison. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Metal Work Engineering or Business Management.
• Strong technical knowledge in Metal Work / Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years management experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Able to travel when required.
• Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to communicate in Chinese with stakeholders and overseas customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall company operations, performance, and profitability
• Develop and implement business strategies and expansion plans
• Work closely with the Managing Director on company development and key decisions
• Lead and coordinate department managers to ensure smooth operations
• Represent the company in business meetings, negotiations, and partnerships
• Liaise with local and overseas customers to develop business opportunities
• Ensure efficient production, engineering, and operational management
