Job summary

Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd. is seeking a Tax Manager to lead Group-wide tax management and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws. You will coordinate across multiple entities, engage with tax authorities and external advisors, and contribute to the Group’s tax efficiency.

You will handle tax planning, risk assessment and advisory support for Finance teams, while monitoring regulatory changes and implementing measures to strengthen the organization’s tax posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related discipline.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian corporate income tax and other applicable tax regulations.
• Experience managing tax compliance across multiple companies within a corporate group is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee tax matters across multiple Group companies, ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax laws and statutory requirements.
• Prepare, review and coordinate corporate income tax computations, tax estimates, tax returns and other submissions.
• Manage tax filing and payment schedules, withholding tax, indirect taxes, stamp duty and other taxes to ensure timely compliance.
• Support Group tax planning initiatives and identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Identify, assess and monitor potential tax risks and review tax implications of business transactions.
• Liaise with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM), Royal Malaysian Customs Department, external tax agents, auditors and other authorities.
• Coordinate tax audits, investigations, authority queries, appeals and other tax-related matters.
• Monitor regulatory updates and support implementation of necessary measures.
• Provide internal tax advisory to Finance teams and stakeholders.
• Undertake ad hoc tax assignments and projects.
