Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Group Consolidation Accountant to lead group reporting across multiple entities. The role requires consolidation expertise, IFRS/MFRS knowledge, and strong analytical skills. You will coordinate with regional finance teams, oversee audits, and strengthen internal controls.

The candidate should have 5–8 years of relevant experience, including external audit exposure, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. AC/CA credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience; external audit experience is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience in group consolidation with multi-entity exposure.
• Strong understanding of MFRS/IFRS and statutory compliance.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare group consolidation and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Manage and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes at the group level.
• Ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS and statutory requirements across all entities.
• Lead and manage the full external audit process, including planning and coordination.
• Act as the primary contact for external auditors and tax agents.
• Review financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with country finance teams to ensure consistency in accounting treatment.
• Monitor and manage intercompany transactions, balances, and reconciliations.
• Strengthen internal controls and audit readiness.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights for business decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at the group level.

• Coordinate with country finance teams to ensure consistency in accounting treatment and reporting standards
• Monitor and manage intercompany transactions, balances, and reconciliations
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, financial processes, and audit readiness
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support business decision-making
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at the group level

What We’re Looking For
