Job summary

Umake Design Group PLT, based in Balakong, Selangor, seeks a creative, customer-oriented individual to join a multi-functional team. The role combines graphic design, customer service, social media content creation, e-commerce management, and general administrative support.

You will respond to customer inquiries, prepare quotations, create designs, manage product listings, and assist with video content across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience in graphic design, customer service, e-commerce, social media, or a similar position is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of layout, typography, colour, image editing, and visual hierarchy.
• Able to prepare print-ready or production-ready artwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via WhatsApp, phone, social media, e-commerce platforms, email, and other channels.
• Recommend suitable products and prepare prices/quotations.
• Follow up on quotations, artwork confirmation, payments, orders, and delivery.

Umake Design Group PLT is looking for a creative, responsible, and customer-oriented individual to join our team.

This is a multi-functional position combining graphic design, customer service, social media content creation, e-commerce management, and general administrative support. Your daily responsibilities will include responding to customer enquiries, providing prices and quotations, preparing designs, serving walk-in customers, creating social media content, managing e-commerce product listings, and handling business documentation.

This position is suitable for someone who enjoys creative work, communicating with customers, and managing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced working environment.

Key responsibilities

Customer service and sales support

Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries through WhatsApp, phone calls, social media, e-commerce platforms, email, and other communication channels.

Understand customers’ requirements and recommend suitable products, materials, sizes, designs, or services.

Provide prices and prepare quotations according to the company’s pricing guidelines.

Follow up with customers regarding quotations, artwork confirmation, payments, order progress, collection, and delivery.

Attend to walk-in customers and assist with product enquiries, pricing, design requirements, and order placement.

Explain products, services, production processes, and expected completion times clearly.

Handle customer feedback, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.

Maintain positive customer relationships and provide a helpful overall customer experience.

Coordinate customer requirements with the design, production, supplier, and delivery teams.

Graphic design and artwork preparation

Create designs for customer orders, marketing campaigns, social media, e-commerce platforms, and internal company use.

Design logos, promotional materials, banners, posters, product images, social media posts, advertisements, and other printed or digital materials.

Develop design concepts based on customer requirements and present suitable creative solutions.

Make artwork revisions according to customer feedback while maintaining professional design standards.

Check spelling, measurements, colours, image quality, layout, and other details before submitting artwork for approval or production.

Obtain customer approval before proceeding with production.

Prepare print-ready and production-ready artwork according to the required technical specifications.

Resize and adapt designs for different platforms, products, and marketing formats.

Organise design files, customer artwork, and completed projects for future reference.

Ensure all completed designs meet the company’s quality standards and deadlines.

Social media content and video

Assist in developing content ideas for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.

Plan and record short-form videos featuring products, services, promotions, production processes, customer orders, and behind-the-scenes activities.

Edit videos using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, or other suitable editing software.

Add captions, music, transitions, product information, prices, and calls to action to marketing videos.

Create thumbnails, promotional graphics, social media posts, stories, reels, and other digital content.

Adapt videos and graphics into the correct dimensions and formats for different social media and e-commerce platforms.

Assist with writing captions, selecting hashtags, scheduling, and publishing content.

Support product photography, promotional video shoots, livestreams, and product demonstrations when required.

Keep up with relevant social media trends and suggest suitable content ideas for the company.

Monitor basic content performance and help improve future content based on customer response and engagement.

E-commerce management

Create, upload, and update product listings on the company’s e-commerce platforms.

Prepare product titles, descriptions, specifications, prices, variations, images, and other listing information.

Design attractive product images, promotional banners, campaign graphics, and other e-commerce visuals.

Ensure product information, prices, stock details, and promotional information are accurate and up to date.

Respond to customer enquiries received through e-commerce platforms.

Assist with online orders, order confirmation, customer follow-ups, and fulfilment coordination.

Support e-commerce campaigns, promotions, vouchers, product launches, and seasonal sales.

Review existing product listings and make improvements where necessary.

Maintain organised digital records of product images, descriptions, and listing information.

Administrative support

Prepare quotations, invoices, purchase orders, delivery orders, receipts, and other business documents.

Assist with ePerolehan registration, quotation submissions, tender documentation, supporting documents, and related administrative tasks.

Follow up on submitted quotations, invoices, payments, and outstanding documents when required.

Maintain accurate records of customer orders, artwork approvals, payments, invoices, and supporting documents.

Perform data entry, filing, document preparation, printing, scanning, and other general administrative duties.

Organise customer, supplier, and project information for easy reference.

Communicate with customers, suppliers, government departments, and other relevant parties when required.

Support the team with daily operational and administrative tasks.

Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the company.

What we’re looking for

Experience in graphic design, customer service, e-commerce, social media, or a similar position is preferred.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software would be an advantage.

Good understanding of layout, typography, colour, image editing, composition, and visual hierarchy.

Able to prepare accurate print-ready or production-ready artwork.

Basic photography, videography, and short-form video editing skills.

Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and e-commerce content.

Comfortable communicating with customers through online channels and in person.

Able to explain pricing, design concepts, and product information clearly.

Familiarity with e-commerce product listings and online order management would be an advantage.

Experience preparing quotations, invoices, or ePerolehan submissions would be an advantage.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Organised, responsible, patient, and attentive to detail.

Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Willing to learn and assist with tasks across different areas of the business.

Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with the team.

Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not compulsory.

Willingness to appear in marketing videos or livestreams would be an advantage but is not compulsory.

The ideal candidate is creative but also practical and organised. You should be comfortable switching between designing artwork, replying to customers, serving walk-in customers, updating online product listings, editing short videos, and preparing administrative documents.

You should have a positive attitude, take responsibility for following up on assigned work, and be willing to learn about the company’s products, services, pricing, and operational processes.
